The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena is located on the Austrian side of the Zugspitze in the Tyrolean Ausserfern, nestled between the Wetterstein mountains with the Zugspitze mountain, the Mieminger Range and the Lechtal Alps. This scenic area includes the villages of Ehrwald, Lermoos, Biberwier, Berwang, Bichlbach, Heiterwang am See, Lähn-Wengle and Namlos.
As a border mountain, the Zugspitze lies between Germany and Austria. Ehrwald is the closest village to the Zugspitze mountain and boasts 2 direct routes to the summit. From Ehrwald, the Tyrolean Zugspitze cable car leads to the western summit of the Zugspitze.
